This Northern Cardinal in flight was really fun to draw. My goal was to capture both the energy and motion of this beautiful song bird. I especially enjoyed capturing the light shining through it’s wings Over time, I’ve been developing this technique and am pleased with the results so far. Each drawing teaches me something new about light, feathers, and the beauty of birds in general.
